We will be “popping up” in our home nest of the Brighton Laines. Pop up makes it sound simple, like I’ve just opened a little zip.. and.. boom, a more accurate name would be slog-up shop because we’ve been working our asses off!!!
Most people would keep things simple for their first slog-up but luckily for you I'm plagued by the burning need for adoration and approval. We are working with an actor, set designer, tattoo artist and tonnes more to transport you in mind, body and soul to a classic 80s office rat race. It has been a slog but also the most fun and I have met the most lovely people so far from nervously burrowing out of my comfort zone.
Why are we doing a pop up?
People are always asking to try our stuff on in person, we have a workshop but not really a proper set up for any kind of browsing etc. so we always thought a shop would be cool, we also know from email that people who like Rat Betty are very nice and it would be cool to speak IRL like they did in the good old days. There is nothing quite like testing stuff in person especially with a considered purchase, often people are shocked at the weight and quality. I would like to witness this shock first hand, so I can do a slow quiet smile as I back away to the stock room for a moments privacy to relish in the feeling of making something worthwhile in life.
Why should I come?
Do you like fun? If you do you should come, if you don’t you should stay AWAY. And to sweeten the deal there will be a cheeky pop-up discount.
