POSITION: CUSTOMER SERVICES AND SHIPPING ASSISTANT

Start Date: June 2025

Days: 3 days per week, ideally Tues/Weds/Thurs, but can be flexible

Hours: 9am–3:30pm (30 min paid lunch)

Wage: £12.60 per hour

Position Overview

The role of Customer Services and Shipping Assistant will primarily consist of all aspects of packaging and shipping of orders. The role will also consist of handling all aspects of customer services. This role offers the opportunity to work in a small team within a fast paced, detail oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily packaging and shipping of UK and international orders
  • Quality control finished orders eg. check they are the correct size, look how they should (as per website photos), monitor firestain/firescale/holes, feedback casting issues, check clasps work well, correct hallmarks etc
  • Work with production team to ensure orders are being shipped on time
  • Manage any orders when customers require them to be shipped sooner
  • Updating Royal Mail, DHL and other courier shipping systems
  • Manage returns and exchanges to ensure customers are happy with the overall purchase experience 
  • Prep packaging in advance during our busy times 
  • Manage shipping and packaging inventory
  • Supporting the team with any ad-hoc requirements
  • Proactively identify areas we can improve customer services and shipping

Requirements

  • Proven customer services experience, motivated to offer excellent customer service 
  • Detail oriented
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Sound analytical and organisational skills 
  • Critical thinking
  • Good time management skills
  • There is a workshop dog who is present during working hours. It is important that candidates are comfortable working in an environment with a dog that sometimes does stinky farts. Wage: £12.60 per hour
