When are the pieces launching
These are launching on Friday 29th August at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST
How many pieces will be launched
This will be a limited run of 100 pieces.
What are the pieces made from
Everything is cast in recycled sterling silver. We never use any platings or coatings.
SIZING
WHAT RING SIZE SHOULD I ORDER
For the eyes ring alone, we would recommend ordering true to size. For example if you're a size 7, order a size 7.
For the beanie ring, we would recommend sizing up eg. if you're usually a size 7, order a size 7.5.
And if you are planning to order both and wear them as a stack, we would recommend going up by at least a full size. Eg. if you are usually a 7, order a 7.5.
WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW MY RING SIZE
If you don't know your ring size and are based in the US, we would recommend ordering a ring sizer like this one here. If you are based in the UK, please order a free ring sizer here. For customers outside the US and UK, please order an inexpensive ring sizer online or get sized by a local jeweller.

I CAN'T SEE MY RING SIZE TO ORDER
If you can't see your size, then please let us know which piece and size you're after here.
WHICH LENGTH NECKLACE SHOULD I ORDER
Depends on your preference for how you'd like your necklace to hang. These can be ordered in a 16", 18" or 20". We can do longer but would need to order them in as custom, so let us know here! Or email us at info@ratbetty.com
SHIPPING AND CUSTOMS
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes we ship worldwide! For delivery options, please see our shipping and returns page here.
Unfortunately we are unable to ship to Portugal. This is because an Official Broker is required to ship jewellery to Portugal. We are also unable to ship to Russia.
When will my order be shipped?
All our jewellery is handmade in Brighton. Shipping times are approximate and will be from the date of dispatch, not the date of order. Please see product pages for processing time. Please note we do not ship on weekends or bank holidays.
If you need the piece sooner than the time listed on the product page, please contact us via our form here or email us at info@ratbetty.com prior to placing your order.
If your order includes both made-to-order pieces (with a 4-week turnaround) and quick-turnaround items (3-5 working days), we will ship your entire order together when the made-to-order pieces are ready.

US Customers - Tariffs, Taxes and Duties
We cover all import tariffs, taxes and customs duties for all orders placed with us for US and EU customers. If during the process of receiving your order you are requested by the courier or customs agency to pay for charges relating to import of our goods, please forward any and all correspondence to us at info@ratbetty.com so that we can resolve the issue and get your shipment released for delivery.
EU Customers - Tariffs, Taxes and Duties
We cover all import tariffs, taxes and customs duties for all orders placed with us for US and EU customers. Customers outside the UK, EU and US
For orders outside of the UK, EU & US, additional duties map apply upon arrival.
These are calculated by your local customs authority. We are not responsible for these additional costs. Shipping & duties are non-refundable.
Any import duties and taxes are charged once the package has reached the destination country and these charges must be paid by the recipient of the package. Customs policies vary by country. If you have any questions related to customs charges you are advised to contact your local customs.
If you refuse a shipment from Rat Betty, you are responsible for the original shipping charges, import fees incurred on the package, and the cost of returning the package to Rat Betty. This amount will be deducted from your refund. In the instance, the return fee exceeds the amount of the original purchase plus shipping costs, the package will be abandoned and you will not be refunded.
PACKAGING
How will my order be packaged?
All orders come packaged as standard in a Fairtrade cotton pouch, placed inside a recyclable jewellery box, and securely packed in an eco-friendly mailer with care instructions on the inside.
We have the option to purchase gift wrapping for those who aren't big fans of wrapping or would like to send directly to someone.
Can my order by gift wrapped?
All orders come packaged as standard in a Fairtrade cotton pouch, placed inside a recyclable jewellery box, and securely packed in an eco-friendly mailer with care instructions on the inside.
If you'd like to go the extra mile for someone then this additional gift wrapping can be purchased here. This gift wrapping includes the Fairtrade cotton pouch, the recyclable jewellery box, and the eco-friendly mailer, all wrapped in polka dot wrapping paper and finished with a ribbon made from recyclable materials.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
Do you offer returns / exchanges?
We hope you'll love your Rat Betty piece, if not, we offer exchanges or refunds within 60 days of delivery.
- Merchandise must be returned in its original, unworn condition.
- Exchanges can be made for a different size or style.
- As we are based in the UK, please double-check your size before ordering to avoid the time and cost of posting back to us.
Shipping costs are non-refundable. Customers are responsible for the shipping of all returns and exchanges. We will ship the exchanged item back to you. For your security, we recommend shipping your package with a carrier that can provide you with a tracking number. Please note that Rat Betty is not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit.

How do I return or exchange my piece?
Please email info@ratbetty.com with “Return” or “Exchange” and your order number in the subject line. You will receive an email with information on next steps.
The returned package must include: a note containing the order number, and the item being returned. We will send you an email as soon as we receive your package.
Shipping costs are non-refundable. Customers are responsible for the shipping of all returns and exchanges. We will ship the exchanged item back to you. For your security, we recommend shipping your package with a carrier that can provide you with a tracking number. Please note that Rat Betty is not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit.

Can I cancel my order?
All orders can be cancelled before we've shipped your package.
Once we've shipped your package, you'll still be entitled to a full refund if you send the package back to us in original condition, details above.
If you're based outside the UK and refuse a delivery from our couriers, they will either destroy it or send it back to us. If the shipment is destroyed your order will not be eligible for a refund. If the shipment is returned undamaged, the order will be eligible for a refund after deducting the cost of shipping and taxes & duties (if applicable).
CARE
How can I clean my jewellery?
We recommend ordering a silver polishing cloth to bring the silver back to a high shine.
If your piece needs more of a thorough clean we recommend gently cleaning your piece with warm soapy water (dish soap) and an old cloth.
PRODUCT ISSUES
Why has my finger turned green?!?
All our jewellery is 100% solid sterling silver. We never use any types of platings or coatings. A handful of customers experience a green / blue marking, this can be due to a reaction between the jewellery and your skin, and/or remnants of the wax, plant-based polish we use to finish the rings leaving a mark! WHY HAS MY RING TARNISHED?!?
All our jewellery is 100% solid sterling silver. We never use any types of platings or coatings. A handful of customers experience tarnishing, this can be due to a reaction between the jewellery and your skin, and/or external factors. Read more on tarnishing, how to prevent it, and how to fix it here!
MY CHAIN HAS SNAPPED
Chains have a weak link, this is a design feature to protect your neck in case the chain gets caught on something.
See below image where the weak link is on another chain, note in this pic the weak link is open.
The good news is, you can thread it back through and tighten it with your fingers by pinching together (or carefully using small pliers if you have them).

RESIZING AND REPAIRS
How can I get my ring resized?
If it has been more than 60 days since you received your piece or you have already exchanged once, then there will be a cost for the work involved for the resize. You will also need to cover the cost of posting back to us.
The price for resizing one sterling silver ring would be approximately $25 (£20).
Please email info@ratbetty.com with your order number, and we will confirm the cost, next steps and provide you with a link for payment.
How can I get my Rat Betty piece repaired?
For repairs, please email info@ratbetty.com with your order number and a photo of your item. We will confirm any cost involved.
GOLD
Can I get something made in gold?
We can cast anything we make in any carat and colour of gold. Please let us know which piece and size you'd like a quote for here or via email at info@ratbetty.com
We are a Fairmined licensee. There are currently only 2 mines in the world that offer Fairmined Ecological Gold. This gold is extracted without the use of any toxic chemicals at all in the extraction process. If you're interested, we did a blog post on this here.
DISCOUNT
Can I use more than one discount code from multiple gift cards?
Only one discount code can be used per order, if you'd like to combine them, please email info@ratbetty.com with the codes you'd like to combine.
